Description:
At times, all of us parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you.

The Circle of Security Parenting™ (COSP) program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Learning Objectives of the Program:
• Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs
• Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
• Enhance the development of your child’s self esteem
• Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

What is the Circle of Security?
The Circle of Security® started as a “user-friendly” description of Attachment Theory. It then integrated over fifty years of early child development research into a video-based intervention that strengthens parents’ abilities to observe and improve their caregiving skills. Attachment theory, through the Circle of Security®, offers clear, individualized pathways for providing a secure relationship between parent and child.

*If you wish to receive a certificate of completion for the program, you must attend at least 6 of the 8 sessions.
Private couples sessions may also be scheduled if you would be more comfortable with just your partner.

Testimonials

“COSP was a huge paradigm shift away from traditional practices that gave our family better understanding of the impact we have on our children’s psychological development. The tools given to us from COSP allows us to strategically connect with our child’s needs that if went unmet could have detrimental impacts.

Matt was the pivotal instructor that gently navigated difficult conversations between spouses in order to maximize the fruitfulness of the program. He demonstrated impartiality and continuously reminded us not to be on “blame- or shame- street” as parents.

This program is an absolute must for parents seeking to enhance their impact on their children’s psychological development. COSP is a niche that we all need to better our interactions with our kids and make those interactions more intentional.

Thank you Matt for such an engaging and fruitful 8 weeks!”
